~Seamless Cardigan~

No attaching. No seaming. No sewing. This seamless cardigan is made possible by provisional cast-on and a rather unique technique of provisional edging. The cardigan is knit from the top down and features the reverse side of the horizontal herringbone stitch at the bottom border, the cuffs, and the front bands. The neck piece, also knit in the same stitch, flows continuously into the front bands. The weight of the herringbone borders allows the front pieces to hang with a rolled drape without curling up. This pattern is ideal for those knitters who enjoy swimming in a sea of stockinette stitch but would still like to have fun with a hidden piscine finish.

Four stitch markers (at least two of which should be of the clippy/removable kind)
A tapestry needle for weaving in ends
A combination of the following or two of either:
− Scrap yarn or embroidery thread (40”+) in a color different from the project (with a dedicated tapestry needle)
− Extra 32”+ (80cm+) circular needle of same size or smaller
One needle or hook of any type that is one size larger, for binding off Size: US 2.5 (3mm)***]
***For regular to tight knitters, US 3 (3.25mm) might be the right size. If there is no needle of the right size, bind off very loosely with the project needle.

Intermediate
The pattern assumes you can knit a stockinette fabric flat and in the round with even tension. The rest is explained in the pattern and in the supplementary videos. Because of the yarn weight, a large amount of knitting is required for completion.
